Code of conduct

We have a ‘Code of conduct’ at Skanem. This is a commitment to conduct ourselves and our business in a way that completely complies to rules and regulations. We follow the rules in the code of conduct to operate and make decisions for some of the most important business areas.

Health, security and environment

We ensure that we conduct our business in a way that is safe and protective to people, the environment, society and property.

People and labour standards

We respect local working environment regulations and rules pertaining wages, hours and working conditions. We do not use forced labour or use raw materials or finished goods produced by forced labour.

Financial integrity and company records

We must ensure that all transactions are properly recorded, classified and summarized in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Confidentiality

If we have a legal obligation with respect to confidential information from customers, we will never use or disclose that information in a dishonest way.

Bribery and corruption

Skanem does not give or receive bribes or other improper advantage for business or financial gain, directly or indirectly.

Supply chain responsibility

We expect our suppliers to adhere to the principals of responsible companies and have their own Code of Conduct or similar. We expect our suppliers to sign Skanem’s Supplier Code of Conduct.

Most Skanem production units are registered on the social responsibility platform Sedex where we meticulously collect and analyse information on ethical and responsible business practices in our Supply Chain. We register data in 4 key areas:

• Health & Safety
• The Environment
• Business Ethics
